CS and RHKP Era, The

Whereas the game of choice for the middle days of school was Age of Empires 2, the end of our school careers would be defined by the seminal tactical first person shooter, Counter-Strike. rhkp | Rolento (Chan), rhkp | Atticus (Porter) and rhkp | Raven (Graham) would spend countless hours with the rest of RHKP rushing B, giving boosts to the crates, and smoking Banana.

Notable players

Cliff and even Burr were amongst some of the more notable people to have played CS. Burr played under the alias Panther, hence the phrase “grrr, Panther, grrr.”

The Red-hot Killer Penguins was the CS clan formed by its original three members rhkp | Shinobi, rhkp | Rolento, and rhkp | Womble. Throughout the years, the clan grew to a number that allowed the formation of two separate teams.

A running joke was to make up a false name every time they were asked what the acronym stood for, e.g. Really Hard Kinky Pirates. Ironically, RHKP had originally stood for Royal Hong Kong Police and was changed whenever some randomer joked that it stood for Red-hot Killer Penguins. They liked it so much that they kept the name ever since.

Highlights of RHKP’s career include being promoted to division 1 of the Enemy Down gaming ladder, and getting pwned by 4Kings Ladies, an all female professional gaming clan.
